General Surgery & Endoscopy Services

Dr. Hopkins primarily treats patients with venous and lymphatic conditions, however he is a board-certified general surgeon and also performs general surgery and endoscopy procedures.  He also provides on-call general surgery services at the Adventist Health, Sonora Hosptial

Hernias

There are many hernia repairs that Dr. Hopkins performs, including inguinal, umbilical, epigastric and ventral/incisional hernias.
Biliary Surgery

Biliary surgery involves the laparoscopic and open removal of the gallbladder along with exploring the bile ducts and removing stones if needed 

Colonoscopy

This procedure is used to evaluate the colon for abnormalities, including colon cancer​

Colorectal Surgery

This includes colon resection and anal/rectal conditions - including fissures\fistulas and hemorrhoids

Upper Endoscopy

This test helps to evaluate the upper gastrointestinal system and is also called gastroesophagoduodenoscopy (EGD)

Trauma Surgery

​Trauma surgery involves a comprehensive evaluation of trauma patients and many types of surgical procedures to treat injuries.  These injuries can involve the head/neck, chest (including the heart and lungs), abdomen (including abdominal organs and the skin/soft tissue.
